NOKIAN TYRES

The Hakkapeliitta 10 EV tyre campaign. Shot in Kiruna, Sweden over a span of 15 days, of which 12 were shooting. Daylight in Sweden around February does not last for more than 6 hours. Although this provided near golden light for the whole day, our shooting window was very small. This was made even more challenging since we were shooting with an EV car, which had to be charged every lunch time. Sunrise. Sunset. -35 Degree temperatures.

    The Nokian Tyres Hakkapeliitta 10 EV is the world’s first eco-friendly tyre designed for electric vehicles. To showcase its exceptional performance in extreme conditions, we are producing a 60-second commercial, shot in Kiruna, Sweden, over a span of 15 days, of which 12 were shooting. The commercial will showcase two storylines that are living in parallel.

    Synopsis:

    The first storyline of the commercial will showcase two hikers, summiting the tallest peak in Sweden, Mount Kebnekaise. They face extreme weather conditions as they climb through -35 degree temperatures, strong winds, and heavy snowfall.

    The second storyline showcases the same two people, driving through the snow-covered roads of Kiruna, on their way to explore the wild beauty of Kiruna, Sweden. They face many challenges along the way, including treacherous icy roads and sudden snowstorms. However, they are confident in the performance of their Nokian Tyres Hakkapeliitta 10 EV.

    The ending reveals that the two storylines are actually one. The parallel narratives were just different times.
